Adolescents and Young Adults

  • Ages 13 - 25

  • Play and talk therapy

  • Parent/guardian check-ins as needed

  • Once or twice-weekly for 45 - 50 minutes

Common challenges for adolescents and young adults:

  • Acts like an adolescent but can’t handle responsibility and thinks they can

  • Lacks self-care

  • Overly mature or its opposite, immature and entitled

  • Anxieties and confusion about sex and gender

  • Self-consciousness about their bodies

  • Eating habits

  • Social inhibitions

  • Conflicts around screen time limits and social media

  • Angry outbursts

  • Risky behaviors

  • Difficulty establishing independence and transitioning into adulthood



Family therapy

  • Play and talk therapy

  • Parents/guardians, child, and siblings

  • Weekly or bi-weekly for 50 minutes

Parent sessions

  • Parents/guardians only

  • Bi-weekly for 50 minutes

  • Difficulty in parent-child conflict resolution and communication

  • Sibling relational conflicts

  • Parenting approaches and discipline practices are inconsistent

  • Parent emotional dysregulation and lack of coping strategies

  • Parent and family personal history having negative impact on parenting
